Powder Magazine “Photo of the Year”
I’ve just returned from the 2010 Powder Video Awards in Aspen Colorado where Dan Treadway and I won “Photo of the Year” for the image that appeared on the January 2010 cover of Powder Magazine. It was an honour to receive this award in front of some of the most influential people in skiing today. One of the highlights was meeting Warren Miller in person and having the opportunity to thank him for inspiring me to follow my passion for skiing and moving to Whistler at the age of 23. I consider it a privilege to have my work appear in Powder Magazine and thank photo editor David Reddick and his team for this prestigious recognition.

Super duper shot, no surprises that it garnered Powder cred….You have always been the man with the eye be it for snow-dogs, lakes, shutes, cowboys, the radical, the $$, who knows, out there crazy-ass momma’s, poppa’s, bambino’s…………!!!!!
Oh and consider that the coconot bra shot might get done out at Hemlock, the little ski hill where we skied all winter longer 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will never forget the the Pearl Island adventure. That was a life long memory for a good old Kentucky boy!!!!!! Your father in law Mr Higgins is as cool as a fan. The mid-ocean transfer with him still has me nervous . Then for me and “Mr Higgy baby” to go out together was another treat.

The TYHEE on my last morning with Griffin in front of lodge might be a big wall hanger for me if I like it and I’m sure I will. The fish was almost 34 pound. My biggest ever and I think it could be amazing if I get it framed and matted for hanging in my office.
