As the ski season winds to an end here in Whistler, it’s been a week since I finished teaching in the May 2011 Whistler Outdoor Photography Workshop along with Blake Jorgensen, Paul Morrison and Jordan Manley. The workshop was a four day program that saw some of Whistler’s top photographers share knowledge on capturing action sports photography through classroom presentations and hands on sessions in the field. Participants were taken up Blackcomb Mountain to shoot skiing with professional athletes on the first two days before heading into the forest to shoot mountain biking on day three. The last day focused on editing images and preparing a slideshow for final presentations. The atmosphere was casual, fun and informative. A great time was had by everyone involved and I am definitely looking forward to teaching similar workshops in the near future.
