Here we go again…
Well I haven’t posted anything for a while but with winter knocking hard on the door here in Whistler I thought I should take a moment to bring things up to date…
It was a short but sweet summer which I spent mostly working and hosting friends at our summer property on Gambier Island in Howe Sound. In May I participated with Blake Jorgenson, Paul Morrison and Jordan Manley teaching photography techniques on a 4 day photo seminar organized by Blake and Holly Fraser here in Whistler. A lot of time was also spent editing and submitting photos to publications and clients. In August I made my way to Rivers Inlet to shoot fishing images for the Rivers Inlet Sportsman’s Club and on my return shot some summer valley photos for WhistlerBlackcomb. The summer cabin is all locked up now and the boat has been put away ’till next year…
Meanwhile in the mountains of Coastal British Columbia, La Niña seems to be back for another season of great skiing. It’s been snowing in Whistler since October and opening day is finally upon us. WhistlerBlackcomb has been running some great ads this year with a few of my images used in some. There have also been a number of my photographs published in the first round of ski magazines including the cover of Backcountry mag’s October issue.
You can feel the energy building in Whistler as we anticipate the opening of a great new season. Stay tuned for image updates once things get underway…
